Acrylic and Collage on Canvas ready to hang.
I decided to experiment, change things up and use black gesso as my first layer.
From there, I experimented some more by using a new color for me, turquoise blue. The creamy yellow balanced the brightness of the blue and then I just started creating shapes and meandering. I added some collage from old high school love letters and black India ink that I love applying with evergreen needles.
Because the colors were so different for me, I had a hard time knowing if the painting was done. I really had to sit with it and stare her down. And then I fell for her.
