Preserving Nature evolved from several earlier renditions, giving it a lot of depth and complexity.
For me, the colors evoke a bright sunny day with its blues, yellows, greens and a touch of orange. I’ve layered in tissue paper, which I love including in my art for its texture and transparency.
You’ll also find a torn bit of a street map, which is found in many of my paintings as a nod to my late in laws and my love of travel. This piece has an abundance of mark making and texture with the hope that you’ll never tire of looking at it and will always find a new point of interest that will take your imagination for a ride!
