I guess it’s two years already that I started experimenting with a new style; primarily playing with more negative space, as opposed to filling up the canvas with paint and mark making.

This new direction began when I took an intensive Master Class with artist Emily Ball in Florida. I love this limited palette with the yellow-ish ochre next to the pale blue and a pop of magenta pink with a spray of India Ink, as if a flock of startled birds is flying off to their next destination.

Who Says I Can’t speaks to the boldness of changing directions and trying new ways of doing things. Saying Yes, feeling the doubt and moving past it.

Painted on heavy paper. Ready for framing or simply hang with magnets (I can recommend some for you—it’s an easy, cost-effective and elegant way to hang paintings on paper.)
