30×40 Acrylic and Ink on Paper
Running to Myself is a part of my new series called Neshemah “speaking from the soul.”
With this painting, I want you to feel your strength, the power of you running to yourself and all that you are, all that you hold. Your possibilities, your essence. The sprays of black ink symbolize freedom, the freedom to just be however you want to be.
One of my favorite mark-making tools is a bundle of evergreen needles dipped in black India Ink. I let my hand dance over the painting, making marks where my heart leads.
Painted on heavy paper. Ready for framing or simply hang with magnets (I can recommend some for you—it’s an easy, cost-effective and elegant way to hang paintings on paper.)
